Junior IT Security Specialist

Poland - Warsaw - HQ
Full-time
Permanent employee

What we do?

UniCredit in Poland belongs to one of the largest financial groups in Europe, serving over 15 million Clients, including one million businesses. We are building a new banking model that combines the speed and appeal of a fintech with the strength and stability of a universal bank. We draw on 150 years of experience and the unique expertise of our teams, acting as the Group’s pan-European innovation hub.

We are creating ultra-fast and transparent banking with an “all-in-one” application and new opportunities for all Clients - individual, business, and corporate. We provide full omnichannel service thanks to a network of flagship branches in key Polish cities and our Support Center.

Our greatest value is our People - a Team of creative experts who thrive in a dynamic and innovative environment. We focus on collaboration, engagement, and achieving ambitious goals.

We are looking for a Junior IT Security Specialist to join us at this pivotal moment, share our vision, and help shape the future of European banking.

What you will be doing?

We are looking for a well organized and tech-savvy Junior Specialist to act as the operational "right hand" for our Security Team. You don't need to be a pentester or a policy writer. Instead, you will be the coordinator who ensures our processes run smoothly and free up our senior team’s time. Your goal is to handle the logistics, scheduling tests, chasing evidence etc. You will have the opportunity to learn security governance and operations from the inside out and grow with the team.

Key Responsibilities

Pentest Logistics

  • Prerequisite Checking: Before a test starts, you contact the Product Owners/Developers to check if they have submitted the required documents (API specs, architecture diagrams). If they haven't, you remind them until it's done.

  • Onboarding External Testers: You prepare the "welcome pack" for external vendors - setting up their VPNs, test accounts, and access rights so they are ready on Day 1.

Initiative Management

  • Coordination of selected IT Security initiatives and projects,

  • Ensuring cyclical progress monitoring,

  • Status updates and timely escalation of risks and delays.

Control Reporting

  • Monitoring of recurring internal controls,

  • Preparation of regular reports and presentations summarizing their implementation status, results, and progress on remediation actions.

Audit Documentation

Preparation, collection, and maintenance of organized records and documentation required for internal and external audits and inspections.

Operational Hygiene

Meeting & Documentation Support: Help maintain meeting notes, update confluence pages, and ensure our internal security documentation is organized and searchable.

Periodic review of permission change reports from GCP and updating data for the SOC trend report

Skills you should have

  • 1-2 years of experience in Project Management Support, IT Support or a Junior Analyst role.

  • Detail-Oriented: You spot when a date is wrong

  • Strong Organizational Skills: You live in JIRA, Google Sheets, or task management tools. You enjoy ticking boxes and keeping schedules clean.

  • Communication Confidence: You are not afraid to message a Product Owner or Developer to ask for an update. You can write clear, professional emails in English (B2/C1).

Nice to Have:

  • Interest in Cybersecurity.

  • Experience with JIRA (creating tickets, dashboards).

  • Basic exposure to ISO 27001 or GDPR concepts
