We are looking for a BaaS Credit Risk Specialist to join us at this pivotal moment, share our vision, and help shape the future of European banking.
What you will be doing?
We are looking for a BaaS Credit Risk Specialist with solid experience in retail lending and a passion for innovation to join our Banking-as-a-Service (BaaS) risk team.
This position is designed for someone who enjoys owning their projects end-to-end — from designing credit processes and policies to testing integrations and monitoring credit performance.
In this role, you will be responsible for leading multiple BaaS projects from the credit risk perspective.
You will work closely with our embedded finance partners and internal stakeholders to build compliant and high-performing credit journeys in areas like cash loans, credit cards, overdrafts, and BNPL.
Key responsibilities:
Credit Risk Ownership for Projects - develop and implement credit policies and rules for BaaS partners from early design to ongoing performance monitoring (including participation in initial credit risk checks and review with sales team, customer journey discussions, and solution testing with internal and external stakeholders).
Ensure policies align with regulatory expectations and group-level risk strategy.
Verify portfolio quality of BaaS partner’s loan portfolio from credit risk perspective.
Design and optimize credit flows (credit checks, affordability calculations, eligibility criteria and scoring rules).
Coordinate testing and troubleshooting with tech and data teams during implementation.
Monitor portfolio performance (KPIs, trends, default rates, DPD buckets, approval rates) and propose actions or policy changes.
Ensure that your BaaS projects are compliant with credit risk standards and local consumer lending laws.
Collaborate cross-functionally with internal and external stakeholders.
Support internal and external audit or regulatory reviews where applicable.
