Senior Procurement Specialist

Permanent employee, Full-time · Poland - Warsaw - HQ

What we do?

Aion Bank is a fully regulated European bank and credit institution, combining Vodeno’s cutting-edge, private blockchain-based platform with its ECB banking license, strong balance sheet, and deep regulatory expertise. Our mission is to provide a comprehensive suite of embedded banking solutions, enabling businesses to seamlessly integrate financial services into their offerings.

As part of the UniCredit Group, Aion Bank and Vodeno will accelerate their digital banking offer in strategic markets and will act as a sandbox for innovation for the wider UniCredit Group. Aion Bank and Vodeno's existing Banking-as-a-Service (BaaS) offering across key European markets, including Germany and Poland, will see the bank embed its services - ranging from account access and deposits to lending, payments and loyalty programs - directly into non-banking digital platforms, facilitating seamless customer experiences.

At Aion Bank, our biggest strength is our people—a team of highly intelligent, creative, and ambitious professionals who thrive in a fast-paced, innovative environment. We believe in delivering results while fostering a culture of passion and collaboration.

We are currently looking for a Senior Procurement Specialist ready to join our adventure, share our ambition and help shape the future of digital banking.
What you will be doing?
  • Coordinate end-to-end procurement processes for software, hardware, SaaS services, and professional support, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.

  • Support supplier sourcing and selection, evaluating capabilities, pricing models, and risk factors to ensure the best value and fit for the business.

  • Lead negotiations and help structure agreements in collaboration with stakeholders from IT, Legal, Compliance, and Finance.

  • Draft and review contracts, manage renewals, and track performance against agreed SLAs and KPIs.

  • Ensure regulatory alignment, especially regarding DORA (Digital Operational Resilience Act) requirements, by collaborating with risk and compliance teams.

  • Analyze markets and supplier trends, identifying opportunities for optimization and cost savings.

  • Participate in cross-functional projects related to procurement innovation and continuous improvement of internal processes and tools.

  • Maintain up-to-date contract records and procurement documentation, and support audits when required.

  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to anticipate upcoming procurement needs and align purchasing strategies with business goals.

  • Contribute to vendor relationship management, fostering transparent, productive cooperation and addressing performance issues when necessary.

Skills you should have
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in procurement, ideally with a focus on IT, software licensing, or professional services.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Management, Logistics, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Solid understanding of procurement processes, contract management, and vendor negotiations.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate data and generate insights.

  • Excellent communication skills in English (C1 level), both verbal and written.

  • Comfortable working in a cloud-based environment – we use MacBooks and Google Workspace (Gmail, Drive, Docs, Sheets); strong Excel or Google Sheets skills are especially important (e.g., pivot tables, lookups).
